MADE SYMPOSIUM MOVIE

Berlin based Film-maker Lennart Brede documented our MADE Symposium which was held together with the “A-Team” of Marvel Comics and other talented artists from all around the world.

It was quite an experience to dive into the world of comic artists and great to see how enthusiastic the participants absorbed all the the information and exchanged their knowledge.

Big thanks to the Six More Vodka family who made this whole event possible!

LEVI MAESTRO INTERVIEW

Levi Maestro. What can we say? I think by now everybody knows his show. And him. And also his smile.

The first time I met Levi was about two years ago here in Berlin. It was the first time that he ever went to Europe. I will never forget how excited he was and how he literally absorbed everything he saw and everybody he met. His spirit seemed to be endless. Since then he has been travelling throughout Germany back and forth and we became good friends.

Very seldom you meet people that manage to keep up such a high level of positive energy and happiness on a continuous basis and on top of that produce high quality content videos for hundred of thousands of people to consume. Especially, at that age. (He’s still a baby!)

When he smiles, you smile. When he laughs, you laugh. Deadly combination with the ladies, but even that he manages pretty well.

Of course, we didn’t miss out the chance to interview Levi for our VOV session… enjoy the video!

HAN HOOGERBRUGGE @ MADE

We came across Mr. Han Hoogerbrugge through his daily mini comic series on his site prostress.com,where he constantly mocks on common daily lifetime situations, lets Quentin Tarentino and David Lynch have random sonsense conversations or just tells a fun story.

Han came to visit us at MADE last week and it wasn’t until then that we found out that he’s not only a graphic designer-(flash)-artist, but also directed and produced music videos for the likes of cult band Pet Shop Boys and the London-based The Young Punx .

So, it was pretty impressive what this guy is all about. We couldn’t really put him into one drawer (I guess that’s a good thing) since now he’s also producing his own toys and just finished a colabo with classic wintersport brand Kneissl for The Young Punx on a pair of limited edition skis.

No one can really say what comes out next from this guy. And this we like.

Andrea Rosso Interview

Our next interview for our “Visions of Visionaries” series is with Andrea Rosso, creative director of 55 DSL, a sub-brand of the Diesel denim imperium.

I met Andrea for the first time a couple of years ago in Milano having lunch with a group of friends and what immediately striked me was how interested he was in other people, their stories and their backgrounds etc. Besides the fact that Andrea is the most humble guy I’ve ever met considering that he’s coming from such a powerful family, he also reflects this aura of absolute calmness which makes you feel very easy around him.

First, we visited Andrea in his hometown Bassano del Grappa in Italy to talk about his passions, his backround, new projects etc. and then sat together again after showing the 55DSL team MADE.

We love to follow up with the artists that have been working here at MADE. Honji and Sebastien of Amor & Psyche supported by Joy have been travelling around the world with their performances and just a couple of days ago we came across this beautiful video about their time here at MADE and their eclectic performance for our opening show.

We had Berlin Fashion Week last week and a whole lot of people in town.

Of course, we took the chance and presented our MADE project to a good crowd ranging from artists to PR people from New York to bloggers from Hong Kong to family & friends. Everybody seemed to be real hyped about the space itself and we definitely seeded some plants for the future…

We at MADE just call her stunning, overwhelming and simply beautiful.

Janelle Monae presented her album to a handful of selected press here at MADE and of course we had some time to get to know her own very special universe as well. What striked us the most was with what kind of aura she filled the space and you simply lose your words when this petite Grammy Award nominated lady stands in front of you.
