Edward Buchanan is not your typical fashion guy. Well, actually he is. 
During his studies at New York’s Parsons School of Design, Edward already was working on a freelance basis for prestigious design houses such as Girogio Armani, Calvin Klein, Jcrew and Michael Kors.
After graduating he moved to Milano, Italy in 1995 to start his first big stunt as the design director at high-end luxury label Bottega Veneta. Six years passed and Edward felt that the time was right to start his own line. LEFLESH was born. A complete look consisting of knitwear, bags and shoes.
Like this wouldn’t be enough, in between he also worked as a fashion consultant for Jennifer Lopez and Sean Combs (aka P. Diddy).
Today Edward is directing and designing the beautiful knitwear label Sansovino6 and still is consulting for for bigger fashion houses.
We already met Edward a couple of times in Milano and since he’s in Berlin for work on a regular basis and has already visited us at MADE a couple of times, we just had to take a closer look at this man’s work and visions.
Sansovino 6 is revolutionary in Knitwear. The Jeans Pants are phenomenal~! It is very hard to achieve that in a knitwear. Ed really created a new look without complicating the patterns. He’s a true visionary.
